Black Jack Divas - our sheep
In September 2009 we went to the Scottish-English border to pick up our 6 Scottish Blackface ewe lambs. Both Adrian and I were so excited, we felt like two kids on Christmas morning all the long drive down to the farm where we bought them. On the way back we could not stop grinning.
When we got the sheepies, they had all black faces and little black spots on their legs. Over the past months they have grown quite a bit but also their face colouring starts to change and they seem to get white hairs around their noses.

They have settled in really well and seem to have quite funny personalities. They are indeed very flighty sheep, but also very nosy and curious about what is happening. They soon realised there is a difference between me coming on my own to check them and feed them or me coming with Violet. If they notice a dog in the car they make sure they stay well outof the way, am I alone they come running up in order to demand some food!
